Chance ABA is a clinic-based ABA center, specialized for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) aged from 18 months to 10 years old. Our mission is to provide family-oriented services with an individualized therapy plan that blend the client’s unique strengths, needs, and the family culture and values, thereby enhancing daily wellbeing of the whole family.
Chance ABA will provide the following services:
Our Clinical Director, Catherine has been passionate about working with children throughout her entire life. She worked as a nanny starting when she 14 years old. Catherine earned a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorder from the University of Houston. She began working in her first ABA clinic immediately following graduation in 2018. While working full time with children on the spectrum, she earned her M.A. in Special Education with an emphasis on ABA in 2020 and passed her board certification exam that same year. Catherine has maintained a passion for working with children diagnosed with ASD and plans to continue providing excellent care and professionalism to clients and their families.
Meet Shay, our BCBA intern here at Chance ABA. Originally from California, Shay moved to Houston to be closer to her family. Her interest in Applied Behavior Analysis started in 2019 when she became a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) while studying at the University of Houston-Downtown.
Since moving to Texas, Shay has earned both a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis and is now preparing for her BCBA exam. Outside of her professional achievements, Shay has started a family with her husband and their three-year-old toy poodle, Sadie.
For the past two years, Shay has been a key part of our team, and her passion and dedication have greatly contributed to our success. We’re excited to continue working with her and to see her grow with us.
As a mother of a child on autism spectrum disorder, she has a deep understanding of how to help children with ASD in their daily life. She challenges herself to achieve her goal of learning and growing with children.
